Jun 21, 2021 (0) comment ,

  • The current Trademark Law of Colombia has been amended on April 5, 2021, concerning a regulatory change regarding the claiming of colors as a distinctive feature of trademarks. Now, trademark applicants must declare the colors to be claimed and provide in the registration form a color label, indicating in the box provided for such purpose the name of the color or colors claimed.

If the applicants do not wish to claim colors, and so declare, they must provide a label of the mark in black and white.
