Copyrights
On August 31, 1999 Nicaragua enacted a new Copyright Law. The Law fully complies with Berne and TRIP’s requirements. Copyright is obtained by the mere creation of the work.
Literary, artistic and scientific works, including computer software, as well as the rights of performers, producers of phonograms and broadcasting organizations.
Copyright protection is granted for life plus 70 years.
Two samples of the work are required in order to obtain an optional title from the Intellectual Property Registry.
